Soccer Tournament Plus Odds and Ends for the Weekend
Sorry about not posting yesterday, but I had worked 50 hours during the week even with taking a half vacation day yesterday to pack and otherwise prepare for a soccer tournament in Kentucky today and tomorrow. Between the work and everything else that I have going on, I was quite tired and didn’t have the energy to do much else. But I did get almost 8 hours of sleep last night so I am feeling quite well. I will also likely get some extra rest tonight as well since I have no major obligations.
Unfortunately, it is misting and about 46 degrees outside. I was quite chilled this morning after the game so it is nice to have a few hours to warm up in the hotel. I don’t think the weather will be getting any warmer today. Maybe we can get lucky tomorrow and see a bit of sunshine like last weekend when it rained on Saturday but was sunny on Sunday.
The New Blog
I launched the new blog, Penny Thots, on April 1st. So far, things seem to be going reasonably well. I am a little disappointed in the level of traffic. I was hoping that it might be better, but I really can’t complain that much. It is starting to pick up and should only get better as time goes on. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, feel free to do so at PennyThots.com. Every day, new content is added so you may want to subscribe as well.
Carnivals
Here are the Carnivals that have featured my blogs the past few weeks (CFM = Cash Flow Mantra, GPM = Grand Per Month, PT = Penny Thots):

Funny how getting those 8 hours can help us feel better after working hard. I really think there’s a correlation between getting enough sleep and productivity/wealth creation.

Not sure about wealth creation, but definitely productivity and feeling decent during the day.
.. and it’s funny the other way round too! Maria is away at the moment and I was woken up at about 2.30am when our son went to the bathroom and slammed his door (it doesn’t fit too well). I couldn’t get back to sleep and have been suffering all day!
But lots of good mentions so don’t worry the traffic will come!

That stinks. For the most part, I can usually sleep through a lot of noise. Occasionally, I will have a difficult time sleeping.
I agree that the traffic will come to Penny Thots as well. All of the authors have to do our part in spreading the word too, it’s not all up to you.
As for the eBook, that is something I am working on at the moment. I should state though that it is the one thing that I keep putting on the back burner in favor of other projects. One day, one day.
I’d be interested in buying the eBook on covered calls and I know a few friends of mine who have been asking me about the topic. (So, you could have had 5 sales right there!! What are you waiting for??) As for price, you have to decide that on your own. I’m not sure how much I would pay. It would depend on a lot of factors, like length and how good you ‘sell’ the content. Hope that helps!!

So, you inspired me to get going on the book. I actually started working the outline yesterday. Now I just have to keep it on the front burner. I am not sure how long it will take, but I will be working on it.
I am just back and catching up (also John has a cold and woke me up). CFM, wanted to say that I was having a good week – the article on the Penny Thots was one of two who made the feature part of carnivals. But this is about it – a good week.
And, you do so much more than copy and paste! My feeling is that the PT will take off decently – it just needs a bit more time.

Thanks so much. I am pleased to have you as a contributor.
With that kind of schedule I’m amazed you had anytime to blog let alone run two different blogs.
I think an eBook sounds like a great idea so long as it doesn’t interfere with what you already have going.

It is a rough schedule. I will probably work on the book when I get a chance mostly. Not sure when that would be, however, but I will think of something.
